How does it decide my company was named?
It looks for your company name, or any other name you list, as a whole word, ignoring capitals. It is the same rule our scanner uses, so “Acme” matches “Acme's API” but not “Acmeworks”.
What counts as cited?
A link to your domain or one of its subdomains, or your domain written out in the answer. Copy the answer with its sources (in ChatGPT and Perplexity, the source links come with the text) so the checker can see them.
Why is one answer not enough?
Engines give different answers to the same question, and different questions bring up different companies. A Cited Score asks 154 questions across six engines every week, which is how you see a trend instead of one result.
