Can AI engines read your website?

Check in seconds whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google’s AI can reach, read and understand your site, and get the exact fixes.

What it checks

Bot protectionDoes your firewall or CDN turn automated visitors away before they see anything?
AI crawlers in robots.txt13 crawlers from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Meta and Common Crawl, split into the ones that fetch pages for answers and the ones that train models.
Content without JavaScriptMost AI crawlers don't run JavaScript. Is your text in the HTML they receive?
Indexingnoindex, HTTPS and canonical address.
Structured dataIs there an Organization block that says who you are?

Questions

What is AI readiness?

Whether AI answer engines can technically reach, read and understand your website. It's the foundation: an engine can't cite a page its crawler was blocked from, or a page that is empty without JavaScript. It doesn't measure whether engines actually recommend you — that's what the Cited Score measures.

Which AI crawlers should I allow?

To be cited in answers, allow the crawlers that fetch pages for answers: OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User (OpenAI), PerplexityBot, Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User (Anthropic), Googlebot and Bingbot. Training crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, CCBot…) affect what models know about you without searching; blocking them is a legitimate business choice, with that trade-off.

Does llms.txt help?

It's a proposed standard and cheap to add, but no major AI engine has confirmed it reads the file, so this checker gives it very little weight.

Does this check store my data?

We fetch the public pages any crawler can see: robots.txt, your homepage, your sitemap and llms.txt. We keep results in memory for 15 minutes and don't store the domain unless you ask for an audit.
